2008 Club Championship Administration

General Information
  • The 2008 Club Championship will run concurrently from March through September.  The lowest cumulative net scores (best 4 out of 7 rounds) will determine winners. The more you play, the better your chances. Kinda like the lottery....

Competitors must comply with the ALL of the following:

· Be a current member of the Woodbridge Golf Club in good standing.
· Compete in at least 4 of the 7 tournaments held between March and September.
· Have a valid SCGA handicap index** in at least 4 of the 7 tournaments.
· Seasoned Citizens must be at least 55 years of age on or before September 30, 2008.

**Note: SCGA index is determined with a minimum of 5 posted rounds (any rounds, not just WGC tournaments). Your index can become valid in May and you can still get your 4 rounds in by September.

Scoring

A ROUND is defined as a completed 18 hole round on the day designated. No credit for partial rounds.

The SCORE is defined as the strokes recorded and adjusted for any BONUS shots awarded (see below).

The accumulated total of the lowest four (4) rounds will determine each competitor’s FINAL SCORE in September.

Example scoring: a golfer's net score against par, adjusted for any bonus shots, will be recorded as the score for that round.
    Net score 67 minus par 72 = 5 under par or -5
Bonus shot for low putts = -1
Total score for the round = -6

ELIMINATION ROUNDS... You can eliminate the worse rounds recorded by playing in more tournaments:
